SAE Nashville’s “Backstage Pass” Open House to Offer Panels, Networking Opportunities, and More for Aspiring Production and Music Business Professionals

SAE Institute, one of America’s premier providers of creative media education, will present a free “Backstage Pass” Open House at its Nashville campus on Saturday, December 13 from noon to 3pm.

The event will offer panels and demos that will feature leading educators and music production professionals.

“Our ‘Backstage Pass’ Open House is a must-attend for anyone living in the Nashville area who’s trying to increase his/her music industry or music production knowledge,” says SAE Nashville Campus Director Lynn Dorton. “Whether you’re an artist manager, DJ, musician, engineer, producer, mixer, or entrepreneur, the learning opportunities will be impressive.”

Panels and activities at the SAE Nashville “Backstage Pass” Open House will include:

“Backstage in the Music Business - 2014”, an overview of the latest developments in the music industry and how they affect managers, artists, songwriters, engineers, and producers. This panel will be led by SAE Nashville Music Business Program faculty chair and internationally recognized music industry expert Dr. E Michael Harrington; and SAE Nashville Audio Technology Program chair and award-winning producer Alan Shacklock.

"Backstage Student Q&A”, a discussion with SAE Nashville’s current Music Business and Audio Technology Program students about their strategies to break into the music business.

A performance by, and Q&A with, acclaimed producer, recording artist, and SAE Nashville grad DJ KDSML.

“Backstage Tours” of SAE Nashville’s facilities and studios for prospective students.

“After attending our ‘Backstage Pass’ Open House, registrants will have gained important production and industry knowledge that can help them take their careers to the next level,” says Dorton. “They’ll get great tips on how to build their professional brands and also find out how SAE’s accelerated Music Business and Audio Technology Programs can help facilitate their long term goals.”
